'Grand Theft Auto VI' delayed again to November 2026

Rockstar Games has pushed back the release of Grand Theft Auto VI further down 2026.

According to a statement posted on X, the video game publisher announced that the long-awaited game will now release on November 19, 2026

"We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve," it said.

"We want to thank you again for your patience and support. While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City," it added.

It was initially announced that GTA 6 would be released this 2025. Earlier this year, Rockstar Games delayed it to May 2026.

"Grand Theft Auto" is a video game franchise by David Jones and Mike Dailly. The first game was released in 1997.

The last installation, "Grand Theft Auto V," was released 12 years ago in 2013.
