Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' trailer gathers star-studded cast for epic retelling of Homer classic


The trailer of “The Odyssey,” directed by Christopher Nolan, has given a first look at its powerful main cast in action.

On YouTube, Universal Pictures shared a nearly two-minute trailer set after the Trojan War and featuring Matt Damon as Odysseus, who journeys across the sea while facing various obstacles, including the Cyclops Polyphemus and treacherous weather.

The trailer also showed Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Odysseus’ wife, and Tom Holland as Telemachus, their son.

Aside from Matt, Anne, and Tom, “The Odyssey” also stars Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron, among others.

A film adaptation of Homer’s “Odyssey,” the upcoming film is set for an international theatrical release on July 15, 2026. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA Integrated News
