'Top Gun 3' in the works with Tom Cruise returning

"Top Gun 3" is officially happening!

Paramount announced during its CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas that Tom Cruise is set to reprise his iconic role as fighter pilot Maverick.

In 2022, Cruise returned to play Maverick over 30 years after "Top Gun" was released in 1986.

"Top Gun: Maverick" became the highest-grossing debut in Cruise's 40-year career, earning $134 million on its opening weekend.

In the sequel movie, Maverick becomes a teacher to a class of elite young pilots. —JCB, GMA News
