Olivia Rodrigo taps LA-based Filipino photographer for 'Drop Dead' cover

Filipino photographer Adrian Martin is behind the lens of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead” single cover.

On Instagram, Martin posted a series of photos of the Filipino-American pop star, including the final shot used as the single’s cover.

The post drew praise from fellow creatives and fans, including celebrity photographer BJ Pascual, who commented, “so gooooooood.”

Others highlighted the collaboration as a moment for Filipino talent, with more commending the two Filipinos who are making waves on the global stage.

Raised in Cavite and now based in Los Angeles, Martin previously opened up about his journey into photography in a January 2026 feature with Coveteur.

He moved to the United States in 2014 and credits his Filipino background for shaping his approach behind the camera.

“I think as an immigrant in general, you tend to be more of an observer than a performer. I think being an immigrant, I know how to read the room and as Filipino, I think I'm very kind and I know how to work with people. I know when to step in and when to not. I just think reading the room is so important these days and I think some people don't have that skill,” Martin said.

Martin has worked with Pamela Anderson, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Connor Storrie, and more.

Last week, Olivia made her much-awaited music comeback with “Drop Dead,” the first single off of “You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So in Love.”

She filmed its music video at the Palace of Versailles in France, one of the world’s most restricted and historically significant landmarks.

The full album will come out on June 12.
