Olivia Rodrigo released the music video for ‘Stupid Song,’ one of the tracks from her third album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” pairing the lovestruck anthem with a dreamy visual set on city streets.

In the three-minute and 36-second video, the Grammy-winning pop star walked through New York City wearing a dark hoodie while a group of ballerinas in pink danced around her.

In the track, Olivia sings about overwhelming infatuation and longing, comparing her feelings to “a car speeding down the boulevard without a brake” and “a heart made of wax” melting under the sun.

The lyrics include the lines: “I'm a thread on your shirt that is coming undone/ I feel right, I feel wrong, I feel totally insane/ And I want you more than any stupid song could ever say.”

The video premiered on Friday, the same day “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” was released, arriving alongside the full record as part of the album’s launch rollout.

Aside from ‘Stupid Song,’ the Filipino-American artist has also released music videos for the album’s two singles, ‘Drop Dead’ and ‘The Cure.

Olivia is currently trending online with netizens searching for lyrics of her various songs. On YouTube three hours after it was posted, 'Stupid Song' has already generated more than half a million views. — LA, GMA News
