Celebrity stylist shares tips for getting ‘artista-look’ for less

There's plenty of time this long weekend to clean out your closet and make space for new pieces that'll help you achieve the look you want.

If you're hoping to cop your favorite Kapuso stars' styles, stylist Daryl Maat has some trade secrets to share. In a report by GMA News' Unang Balita on Friday, Maat revealed that thrift shops and a sharp eye for great deals (read: sales!) are what you need to get the "artista-look" for less.

Using ukay-ukay pieces, discounted items, and even clothes already in the closet, Maat copied eye-catching ensembles worn by Solenn Heussaff, Julie Anne San Jose, and Gabbi Garcia.

The trick, he said, is getting the color palette right.

Gabbi Garcia added this simple tip: "Carry it with confidence and also, for me kasi, hindi ako kumokopya ng ibang style. It's just where I'm comfortable with." — AT, GMA News
