7 ways to take your selfie game to the next level, according to Gabbi Garcia
Gabbi Garcia's Instagram photos are no doubt #Goals, with every detail looking almost always flawless — from the setting, the lighting and of course, her poses.
In an episode for #Goals, Gabbi shared a few of her secrets to achieving Instagram-worthy photos that will take your IG game to the next level.
"So guys 'etong mga poses na 'to natutunan ko 'to from different experiences na rin sa pagshoot sa magazines, TV ads, photoshoots and sa pagtatrabaho ko with different famous photographers like sina Mark Nicdao, BJ Pascual and many many more," Gabbi said in the video.
Here are some of tips she shared with everyone.
1. Your hair is there for a reason

You know those awkward moments when you're not sure where to put those hands? Gabbi deals with it by putting her hands on her hair, giving it a light touch, or twirling a few strands.
"Para magkaroon ng mas may angle, lagay natin sa buhok yung hand natin," she advises.
2. Don't look too eager. Lean back, hang loose, and stay relaxed

If you spot a desk or a counter you can lean on, take advantage of it!
"You can play with it: puwedeng patalikod, puwede may pa-shoulder ng konti or puwede ring paharap," Gabbi says, adding you should always bare and extend your neck because it's the "sexiest part of your body, so kailangan kita lahat ng leeg mo sa lahat ng shoots."
3. Take a seat

4. Look mysterious

This one is a no-brainer. If you're wearing sunglasses — or even your eyeglasses — use it. The Hawak sa Shades pose can be your go-to pose as it makes you look mysterious.
5. Lakad-lingon

You can't look stiff doing this one. "Let's be candid as much as possible, na parang naglalakad ka lang and pag lumingon ka parang tinawag ka lang," Gabbi says.
6. Like your hair, your chin is there for a purpose

Lightly touch your chin with one finger. Are you feeling it yet, gurl?
7. Open your mouth

And no, not like how you'd do it with the dentist. Check out how Gabbi does it — slightly pout and part your lips. This is her favorite pose, BTW.
In the episode, Gabbi also asked tips from professional photographers from NQ Modern Photography, whose chief executive Nikko Quioge said non-models should always remember to loosen up and avoid being too stiff. ?
"Ang mga common mistake nila, nakatayo lang sila. [Kailangan] hanapan nila ng angle, mga side, pag mga close-ups shots puwede nilang i-lean forward 'yung head nila, normally napapaganito tayo pag nag-selfie tayo eh parang ganon lang tayo lagi tapos smile."
Photographer Nikki Victoriano, meanwhile noted, how important it is to choose a good background. "Yung background dapat hindi siya sobrang cluttered para magandang tignan." — LA, GMA News
