Maine Mendoza is back as a cover girl for Preview

Yup, that girl Maine Mendoza is back on the cover of fashion magazine Preview!

Maine on Wednesday shared her extreme close-up portrait for the October issue and joked, “'Ganda lang' minsan; 'lang' madalas."

The magazine chronicles Maine's evolution from the voiceless Yaya Dub to a bonafide celebrity grappling with the consequences of fame.

Maine sported her signature Mac lipstick for the photos featured in the cover story, wherein she reveals how much fun she had making it with a Pinay chemist and why she chose a nude shade.

"[Nude] is really more of my personal preference. I know some people might think, 'Ah, she chose nude because it's an easy color to make.' Pero it's actually not! Every little increment of the pigment can make a difference. And I know that many Filipinas still don't like to wear bold colors. They find it too much," she was quoted as saying.

Maine's shade sold out immediately after its release and the Kalyeserye sweetheart said that she continues to feel grateful for the support of her fans. She added that she is now a little wiser, three years after her phenomenal rise.

"When I was 15 ... I was crazy for attention, and I thought it would be easy work. But it's not, it's really hard work. Last year, when I took my long break, I was ready to lose everything. I really was," Maine said.

"But am so happy and grateful that people accepted me as Maine, not just my character; because I did have doubts if they could or couldn't accept me just as myself."
