Heart Evangelista says her grocery joke is her way of saying, 'dress for yourself no matter what'
Kapuso fashion darling Heart Evangelista said her joke about going to the grocery in a gown was her way of saying to "dress for yourself no matter what."
Heart told GMA reporters that it was a joke, and that she was really on her way to GMA for a taping.
"It was obviously a joke, I was actually on my way to GMA for this special taping but you know..." she trailed off, laughing.
Heart said it was her way of saying to dress for yourself no matter what you're facing in life.
"It's just me expressing myself. You know, no matter where you go, no matter what you're going to do. It's important to feel good about yourself. You dress for yourself 'di ba?" Heart said.
She said she also did it as her way to lift up the spirits of her followers, "I like to do my OOTDs in front of the mirror because I like to inspire anyone who's feeling pretty down in a very sweet way. I smile at them and it's nice that they're really [making an effort].
"So that's why it was a joke that I'm going to the grocery I'm wearing a gown. I feel good in a gown, why not, 'di ba?' Yon lang 'yong joke na yon," Heart continued.
She also happily shared how before going to GMA for her contract signing, Heart was really supposed to go the market...in her immaculate white dress.
"You know, kanina dadaan talaga dapat kami sa palengke, sa totoo lang. Kaya lang sobrang nagmamadali na, tapos traffic pa sa elevator so sabi ko kailangan na nating dumeretso."
She happens to be an endorser of PureFoods corned beef, but Heart clarified it was not a paid advertisement.
"It just so happens I was really going through, I'm on a major fitness and diet routine so dami kong naiisip na pagkain. PureFoods the corned beef, kasi talagang gusto ko ng maalat na may itlog tas garlic rice. 'Yon 'yong iniisip ko nung time na 'yon so nasabi ko yun bigla.
