Lawmakers wear their protests during SONA 2019

Who said outfits for the State of the Nation Address are made just for style?

A number of lawmakers took the chance to showcase their different advocacies and protests creatively through the clothing they wore.

There was Bayan Muna Representative Carlos Zarate, who wore a hand-painted barong by Karapatan legal counsel Atty. Ma. Sol Taule, calling for the assertion of Philippine sovereignty and sovereign rights within our exclusive economic zone (EEZ) over the West Philippine Sea, and, the defense of our fisherfolks and environment.
