Nova Stevens is reportedly hurt after recent controversies, expresses gratitude to Michael Cinco

Nova Stevens is reportedly hurt after the recent controversies surrounding her, Michael Cinco, and her team MG mode.

According to a report on PEP.ph, the Canadian beauty queen took to Instagram to share her side.

"Unfortunately, I’ve been made to be involved so I just want to clarify a few things," she wrote.

"This really hurts me because I have nothing but love for both parties. They have both helped me in ways that I cannot even count," Nova added.

Nova said she counts her blessings because of "these two people, MG mode and Michael Cinco."

The beauty queen also addressed the Dubai-based Filipino designer saying, “Michael, I have nothing but love and gratitude towards you. You have created the most beautiful gowns I could even think of."

“The fact that I was able to work with you is honestly a highlight of my career as Miss Universe Canada," she added. "So I just want you to know that gratitude will never diminish no matter what and I express that gratitude publicly and privately and, God knows, my heart."

Nova said she values "gratitude because I really feel that gratitude is the greatest multiplier in life."

"The more grateful you are in life, the more life gives to you, so please know that will never change," she added.

On Sunday morning, Nova switched her Instagram profile to private.

Her statement follows Cinco's unusual lashing out on social media, where he called Nova and her team MGmode "UNGRATEFUL, VILE and professional USERS."

According to Cinco, he is being blamed for Nova failing to get into the Top 21.

MGmode has remained mum.

This isn't the first time Nova has run into controversy involving Filipinos amid the Miss Universe season.

Before the pageant's coronation event, the Canadian beauty queen posted screenshots of comments, mostly written in Tagalog, on Instagram, revealing the racial discrimination she's had to endure for the color of her skin.

Later on, she shared another photo of herself, this time full of positive comments from Filipino fans, saying she just wants the incident to be "a teaching moment so that we can make pageants fun and enjoyable for all."

The Miss Universe candidate said all the girls competing have worked hard for the pageant “and deserve to have the best experience.”
