Rachel Peters wears Mark Bumgarner Filipiniana to SONA 2022

Rachel Peters and her husband Camarines Sur Congressman Miguel Villafuerte have arrived at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s first State of the Nation Address.

According to a red carpet report by Franchesca Viernes of GMA News, the Miss Universe Philippines 2017 wore a cream terno by Mark Bumgarner with draped details, whereas Miguel wore a barong from Tiño Suits.

Speaking to GMA News, Rachel said "I get very nervous coming to these things and I get very nervous about planning my outfits so when I spoke to Mark, sabi ko ikaw na lang bahala."

Rachel credits Mark for designing her dress, while her husband proudly admits he chose the color of his wife's dress.

"We’re very happy with how it came out," Rachel said.

Rachel and Miguel tied the knot in 2021. They have a daughter named Kaia Rose, born last October.
