Justin Bieber slams clothing brand for releasing 'trash' merch of him without his approval
Justin Bieber has set the record straight: he didn't approve of H&M's most recent Bieber-themed collection.
In an Instagram Story on Tuesday, the Canadian pop star posted a note saying that the fast fashion brand's "merch" of him is "trash," and he didn't approve of it. He also advised his followers not to buy any of it.
"I didn't approve any of the merch collection that they put up at H&M… all without my permission and approval," he added. "SMH[,] I wouldn't buy it if I were you."
As of writing, the said Bieber collection, which consisted of hoodies, a tote bag, and a phone case, was now pulled out from the fast fashion brand's website.
In a statement sent to Agence France-Presse, H&M said that it had withdrawn its collection out of respect to Bieber.
"As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures, but out of respect for the collaboration and Justin Bieber we have removed the garments from our stores and online," the spokesperson said.
