This discount store will accept onions as payment this weekend

Onions will be as good as money in this Japan Home Centre branch.

On Facebook Wednesday, the Japanese store announced that their Panay Avenue branch will accept onions as payment on selected items on February 4 (Saturday).

Japan Home Centre said one onion is equal to one item from their shop. Every customer is limited to only three purchases.

This initiative from the shop will benefit communities as onions collected will be used in their community pantry. Meanwhile, cash will still be accepted.

Japan Home Centre's Panay Avenue branch is located at 84 Panay Avenue, Quezon City, near Victoria Towers.
