R'Bonney Gabriel returns to Texas to debut PH-made fashion collection for Cebu fundraiser

R'Bonney Gabriel has returned home to Dallas, Texas to debut her biggest fashion collection yet, titled "And The World Was Hers."

On Instagram, the Filipino-American Miss Universe 2022 shared that she only had two months to create the collection while in the Philippines.

"I took inspiration from the 80s in Miami, sunset colors, and upcycled leather jackets," R'Bonney said. "Everything was sourced and made in the Philippines."

According to R'Bonney, the fashion show also served as a fundraiser for Cebu through My Refuge House.

My Refuge House is a Cebu-based non-government organization "dedicated to providing the best comprehensive and therapeutic care" for survivors of online sexual exploitation of children, commercial sexual exploitation, and abuse.

"Thank you to all my friends, family, yaya, design team, models, styling team, and My Refuge House for making this a success!" she said.

"Fashion is cool, but fashion is even cooler when it's used for a greater purpose," she added.

In the comment section, R'Bonney's fellow beauty queens praised her creative talent, including MJ Lastimosa, Sheynnis Palacios, and Andrea Meza.

In 2024, R'Bonney split her time between the Philippines and New York before leaving the country earlier this October.

During her time in the Philippines, she explored her Filipino heritage by trying Pinoy street food and practicing her "tawad" game in Divisoria, as well as riding a jeepney and a motorcycle taxi.
