Alex Eala now has a tennis shirt named after her
The Ealamania continues!
Ahead of the US Open, Nike has released a special black tennis T-shirt named after Alex Eala, featuring floral accents on the front and her name on the back, along with the brand’s signature line, “Just do it.”
In its US website, the brand wrote, “Alex Eala's breakout year continues. Rep the lefty phenom with this soft cotton tee as she keeps making history.”
The shirt retails for $42 (or about P2,598.67) and is currently available in the United States. As of writing, it is not yet available in the Philippines.
On Instagram, the Filipina tennis ace shared photos of the shirt and expressed her disbelief.
“I have my own shirt!” she wrote. “You know what to do!”

But Nike isn't stopping with just the Alex Eala shirt.
It has also released Alex’s kit the US Open, a refreshing blue tennis dress which retails for $140 (or about P8,663.27). It also is currently available only in the United States.
On Instagram Stories, Alex happily shared snaps of herself in the dress and said "Run don't walk! Get your own dress."
Alex is expected to earn a seeding in women's singles of this year’s US Open, with the Filipina currently ranked No. 20 in the world.
Eala has also been paired with world No. 4 Felix Auger-Aliassime for the mixed doubles category.
The US Open begins on Sunday, August 23. Much luck to our dear Alex!
