No visa necessary for Pinoys going to Jeju Island in Korea
The Korea Tourism Organization is inviting Filipinos to visit Jeju Island, a UNESCO-distinguished haven in Korea.
Jeju Island, declared one of the world's "New 7 Wonders of Nature" and declared a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in 2002, World Natural Heritage Site in 2007, and World Geoparks Network in 2010, is now more accessible because Filipinos headed to the island no longer need a visa to fly there.

In the same statement last Wednesday, KTO said it will distribute travel kits with the Jeju Tourism Organization if tourists choose to purchase any of its promoted travel packages during Travel Madness Expo 2014 at the SMX Convention Center from July 4 to 6.
Jeju Island, a volcanic island, is a government-protected area heavy in nature. Because of their untouched beauty, at least nine sites were cited by UNESCO as Geosites, or places which "contain geological heritage of exceptional scientific and educational importance, rarity or beauty."

Some notable sights in Jeju Island include The Trickeye Museum, an interactive art gallery where guests can pose themselves to look like part of the original art; Seongsan Ilchulbong or Sunrise Peak, a gigantic cone formed by volcanic eruptions; and Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliff, a designated cultural monument with naturally-formed hexagonal and cubic rock pillars. — Rie Takumi/JDS, GMA News
