Pangulasian Island named SEAsia’s best sustainable boutique hotel

El Nido Resorts won another international recognition when its resort on Pangulasian Island was named Southeast Asia's Best Sustainable Boutique Hotel at the World Boutique Hotel Awards.

The award is bestowed on luxury hotels worldwide by a group consisting of travel and tourism industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs and journalists.

The awards were given out in London on October 30. Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr. posed with El Nido representatives with the award during World Travel Mart, also held in London, on November 2.

"The resort, built on a private island, has been tastefully designed in harmony with the natural beauty of the island; the upkeep of the grounds is meticulous, and a huge effort has been made to ensure that the resort is as eco-friendly as it can be," the site said about Pangulasian, which opened in October 2012. — BM, GMA News
