The Fellowship of the Ring, the first film in the Lord Of the Rings trilogy, was released in 2001.

Now, to celebrate 15 years of New Zealand being Middle-earth for a new generation of LOTR fans, the country's tourism department has put out a quiz that will sort you into one of the races populating J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy world.

After answering the quiz, you input your name to get your result—which includes a message from LOTR director Peter Jackson himself telling you about the beautiful places in New Zealand you might want to check out.

For those who get "elf," Jackson suggests "the luscious Kaitoke Forest in Wellington", which was "the perfect setting" for the Elven stronghold of Rivendell.

The website even suggests what elves should pack before heading to New Zealand!
