Karel Marquez goes on 'short but sweet' Boracay trip with husband

Newlywed couple Karel Marquez and Sean Fariñas took a "short but sweet" trip to Boracay over the weekend for a break from the urban mayhem.

The two tied the knot last December 1.

According to Karel, this was their first trip as husband and wife and this vacation is only a preparation for their Maldives honeymoon.

Karel and Sean enjoyed their weekend getaway watching the sunset, listening to the sound of waves while walking on the shore hand in hand, they also rented their own villa that comes with a private infinity pool.

They were both recharged and ready to go back to work in Manila to take on their goals for the year 2017.

"Literally 'short but sweet'. During this quick trip, I've thought about my desires now - may it be expanding businesses, saving for our future/dreams, or planning another getaway, I'll do more, all for my children, all for our little family. It's all I can think about - our family. I'm so ready to work when I get back! Thank You, Lord, for the opportunity.  Where to next, lakay?" Karel wrote on Instagram.
