EDSA Shangri-la, Peninsula land in Conde Nast’s top hotels in Asia
Conde Nast Traveler this month released the 2017 Readers' Choice Awards Issue and two hotels located in Metro Manila were recognized in one of the categories.
EDSA Shangri-La in Mandaluyong and The Peninsula Manila in Makati City landed a spot in the Top Hotels in Asia list, placing 24th and 25th respectively.
EDSA Shangri-La, which is celebrating its silver anniversary, was praised for its elegant interior design. "The exteriors are a bit nondescript, but it's so beautiful inside," the description reads.
The hotel was also praised for the excellent service provided by its staff and received a score of 86.31.
The Peninsula Manila, on the other hand, received a score of 85.71. The hotel is currently celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month and its lobby is "blushing pink" with flowers to mark the occasion.
The Peninsula Manila later this month will also play host to a fine art fair, The Nonesuch Fine Collectibles and Rarities.
The Reverie Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City took the top spot with a near-perfect score of 99.23, followed by Hotel Mulia Senayan (Jakarta ,Indonesia), COMO Uma Punakha (Punakha, Bhutan), Raffles Jakarta (Jakarta, Indonesia), and Gangtey Lodge (Gangte Valley National Park, Bhutan). —NB, GMA News
