Wyn Marquez explains why she missed out on the Boulevard Carnaval in Bolivia
Reina Hispanoamericana Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez was supposed to be the first Filipina to participate as a special guest at Bolivia's event Boulevard Carnival on January 14, but she missed out.
On her Instagram account, she posted a photo of one of the costumes she was supposed to wear at the event and in the caption, explained why she was unable to attend.
"Due to the bad weather yesterday the Boulevard Carnaval was moved today pero hindi na po ako makakasali dahil naka schedule ang 3 connecting flights ko ngayon na umaabot ng 3 days ang byahe and mahirap na i-rebook dahil sa oras kaya kinakailangan na makauwi today plus meron din hinahabol na work sa Pilipinas," she explained.
She said the Reina Hispanoamericana organization decided that it's best for her to go back to the Philippines since it will be hard to reschedule a flight.
In an earlier post, Wyn shared that she was also invited as a guest at a motorsport event, the DAKAR rally, and was recognized by Bolivia's president and vice president as the first Filipino to join their event.
"I was told that I am the first Filipino to be invited as a special guest at the DAKAR (The world’s toughest and biggest rally) I was also given a recognition from Bolivia’s President and Vice President. I am also the First Filipino to be part of the pre carnaval presentation called BOULEVARD CARNAVAL (a show full of culture, tradition and beauty. It’s the longest catwalk in Bolivia) "
The post also said that she was expected to do a dance performance for the audience and do her pasarela on the longest catwalk in Bolivia.
"It was such a rough week super rough week for me but isipin nalang ang positive side ng lahat. Thankful ako na 2 event na never ko na imagine na magiging part ako, naging part ako. i am so excited to just dance and do my pasarela later at the Boulevard Carnaval! "
