Japan eases requirements for multiple-entry visa for Pinoys
It will be easier for Filipinos to secure multiple-entry visas to Japan.
In an effort to promote "people to people exchanges" between Japan and the Philippines, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan said it has expanded the scope of applicants eligible for visas for short term stay business purposes and for cultural and intellectual figures, beginning August 1.
The validity period of the visas will also be extended from 5 years to a maximum of 10 years.
"The above mentioned relaxation of visa requirements is expected to contribute to improvement of convenience for tourists and increase in repeat visitors as well as further advancement of people-to-people exchanges between Japan and the Republic of the Philippines," it said.
The requirements and procedures for Filipinos seeking to get a Japanese visa are posted in website of the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines. —Jessica Bartolome/JST, GMA News
