Trash found stuffed into a rock formation in Boracay one day after reopening

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources on Twitter Saturday posted a photo of trash retrieved from a crevice of a rock formation in Boracay Island one day after its reopening.

The photo showed a plastic bottle of soda, a plastic bottle of drinking water, and a plastic packaging of instant noodles.

"Is this #responsibletourism?" the DENR asked.

After it was closed by the government for a six-month environmental rehabilitation, Boracay reopened on Friday, October 26 to local and foreign tourists. — LA, GMA News
