Accredited Boracay hotels, resorts
As of November 26, the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force announced it has accredited a total of 243 hotels and resorts that are allowed to accept bookings and reservations.
The establishments offer a total of 9,248 rooms for occupancy.
The task force reminded the public anew that “only the Boracay Island accommodation establishments that are compliant with the requirements of the DENR, the DILG and accredited by the DOT are allowed to accept bookings and reservations.”
The world-renowned tourist destination reopened to local and foreign tourists last month after its six-month rehabilitation.
Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat previously said that DOT will limit the number of tourist arrivals in Boracay to only 6,405 per day so that the volume of visitors will not exceed the island's carrying capacity.—Dona Magsino/ LDF, GMA News
