El Nido’s Hidden Beach tops travel site’s list of top 50 beaches in Asia

Hidden Beach in El Nido, Palawan is the best beach in Asia for 2018, according to a  Canada-based travel company.

The "hidden slice of paradise in Palawan" is No. 1 on Flight Network's online list of "Asia’s Top 50 Beaches" after a team collected insider knowledge from over 600 journalists, editors, bloggers, and agencies.

It was also number three on the site's list of the world's top beaches.

Hidden Beach was given a high score for sheer, untouched beauty, remoteness, sand and water quality, annual days of sunshine, and average annual temperature.

Flight Network also took note of the beach's "unmistakable" limestone cliffs "shooting out of the turquoise-blue lagoon straight to the sky," as well as its magnificent reefs and palm-lined shores.

Other Philippine beaches that made it to the top 50 list are:

• Guyam White Sand Beach in Siargao (No. 13)
• Palaui Beach in Cagayan Valley (No. 22)
• Caramoan Island Beach in Camarines Sur (No. 29)
• Dahican Beach in Mati, Davao Oriental (No. 41)
• Gumasa Beach in Sarangani (No. 45)
• Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol (No. 46)
• Kalanggaman Island in Cebu (No. 49)
• Paliton Beachin Siquijor (No. 50)
