In her red Filipiniana, Pinay hiker waves PHL flag at Mt. Everest base camp
A Filipina hiker decked in full Filipiniana while waving the Philippine flag at the base camp of Mount Everest has gone viral online.
According to a report in Unang Balita on Wednesday, Bianca Lawas was aided by her companions by covering her with a malong as she changed outfits in the freezing weather conditions.
In a Facebook post, Bianca said that she changed into her Terno while it was snowing at 5,364 meters above sea level.
"Changing into my Filipiniana National Costume outdoors while snowing at 5364 meters above sea level with -15 degree celsius temperature is no joke! No joke at all," she said.
Her post has garnered more than 2,600 likes and 1,500 shares as of posting. — Jessica Bartolome/LA, GMA News
