Aguinid Falls in Samboan, Cebu closes for month-long cleanup
The tourist attraction Aguinid Falls located in Brgy. Tangbo, Samboan, Cebu will be temporarily closed from June 17 to July 17, 2019 in order to make way for restoration.
According to the official Facebook page of Barangay Tangbo and the Cebu Provincial Tourism Office (CPTO), the falls will undergo the month-long closure for officials to rehabilitate the falls.
The post read, "It's time to let nature heal itself and for the barangay & guides to make some changes and reforms when it opens again to the public."
The Aguinid falls, said the CPTO in a post, has eight levels and officially opened back in 2013. Since then, it has become a must-see destination and has become part of the town's eco-tourism thrust.
Although the date of re-opening has been announced. the post said that it may be extended upon the discretion of the barangay.
