Siargao named among Condé Nast Traveller's 'Best Holiday Destinations 2020'
Siargao has been named as one of the best holiday destinations for 2020, according to the travel magazine Condé Nast Travellers.
The teardrop-shaped island ranks 8th best place out of 20 destinations all over the world.
Siargao is described by Condé as an island " fringed with pristine beaches, tree frog-green mangrove forests and sweeping groves of coconut palms" which is giving "Bali a run for its money."
It also added that Siargao "is luring legions of right-on sorts to its shores, with its gnarly surf breaks, including the legendary Cloud 9 barreling wave, which counts Kelly Slater and Anthony Kiedis among its riders."
Aside from the surfers, Siargao is also welcoming "a slow glug of new independent hotels and small businesses to its bone-white beachy shores," the article read.
Topping the list is Pakistan, followed by Plymouth, United Kingdom and Kyrgyzstan.
