BGC will still have its interactive Stations of the Cross but this time, it's going to be online

Due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat and the enhanced community quarantine, most Catholics forced to skip annual Holy Week traditions this year.

Thankfully, almost anything can be done on digital nowadays. By setting up an altar at home first, people then can go on a virtual Visita Iglesia care of Google Maps, join no less than Pope Francis in observing the Holy Week, and then there's BGC's ever-interactive Stations of the Cross made available online.

The website "Walkway: Journey to the Cross of Christ" is a the virtual take of BGC's annual Stations of the Cross. Here, people can pray through all 14 stations digitally.

It's still interactive, with illustrations that represent each of the station, and with a recording per station so you can listen and reflect.

There is also a special Stations of the Cross map made for kids, so parents can guide their children as they learn and pray through the stations.

Bonifacio High Street partnered with Without Walls Ministries to launch the website.

Like before, BGC will wrap up the Lenten season with two things: (1) a virtual Easter Egg Hunt on their Facebook Page come Easter Sunday and (2) a Holy Week concert. Headlined by Martin Nievera, "Walkway: Journey to the Cross of Christ Easter Concert" will be livestreamed on April 12, at 8pm.

The enhanced community quarantine was recently extended to April 30. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
