Palawan, Cebu on top 25 of ‘50 best islands in the world’

El Nido in Palawan and Cebu made it to the top 25 of the 50 best islands in the world list published by international website Big 7 Travel.

Released Wednesday, the list was based on “aggregated scores from previous media results and contributions from the Big 7 Travel editorial team.”

El Nido in Palawan, which placed second, was said to feel “untouched, with white sandy beaches and tropical jungle. As soon as you step foot onto here you’ll instantly agree it’s one of the best islands in the world.”

Cebu, meanwhile, is at No. 25. “There’s sugar-white beaches, clear emerald waters, hot springs and several jungle waterfalls,” it said.

The list also mentioned the town of Oslob, “where you can go swimming with whale sharks!” 

Big 7 Travel’s top 10 best island in the world are as follows:
