1. JAJA Hong Kong

Nestled on the sixth floor of the Hong Kong Arts Centre is JAJA, an "Instagrammable" cafe that will greet you with its pink interiors, giant teddy bears, and plush cushion sofas as you enter.

With its aesthetic interiors aside, JAJA offers an innovative food menu that is picture-perfect and vegetarian! Don't miss out on JAJA's Living Maki Platter, which includes a spicy jackfruit roll, eggplant teriyaki roll, and enoki spider roll. 2. Gold Garden Shanghai Cuisine

Hong Kong is home to many restaurants paying homage to traditional Shanghainese cuisine, and of those is Gold Garden Shanghai Cuisine, located on the third floor of Harbour City. Through its highly flavored food selection, Gold Garden aims to recreate the authentic taste of traditional Shanghai dishes.

Some of Gold Garden's bestsellers include the spicy poached sliced beef with sweet potato noddle in Sichuan style, deep-fried fresh Garoupa in sweet and sour sauce, slow-cooked crispy chicken, and crispy beancurd roll wrapped with mushroom, among others.

3. Madame Fù - Grand Café Chinois

Cantonese is another cuisine you won't have a hard time looking for in Hong Kong. The Madame Fù - Grand Café Chinois is one of the most celebrated restaurants in the city, specializing in Cantonese cuisine with signature dishes inspired by the Northern provinces of China. In 2020, it was awarded the "Best Masterchef Recommendations Restaurant" by the Asia Art of Cuisine Society.

When dining at Madame Fù, don't miss out on the spring roll, smoked bean curd roll, and salt and pepper crispy tofu. For the main course, the pecking duck and braised noodles with back truffle sauce are among the hits.

4. Yung's Bistro

If you're familiar with Yung Kee restaurant, then Yung's Bistro should be on your radar. It's a new concept under the Yung Kee restaurants, which prides itself on traditional Cantonese cuisine and elevated local Hong Kong dishes.

By fusing traditions with innovations, Yung's Bistro is a refreshing take on contemporary dining in Hong Kong. Some of its signature dishes include assorted dim sum, roasted goose, Chinese-style pan-fried beef tenderloin with tomato sauce, and its pièce de résistance: white rabbit candies in the form of a custard dessert.

5. Woo Cheong Tea House

Situated in a historical four-story tenement building that used to be a well-known local pawnshop in the 80s is now transformed into a restaurant called Woo Cheong Tea House that serves premium teas, signature tea-infused cocktails, and exquisite dim sum items.

When dining here, you can have a bird's eye view of the streets of Wan Chai road and the bustling establishments surrounding it. While at it, try Woo Cheong Tea House's dim sum selection ranging from vegetarian bamboo fungus dumplings with mixed mushrooms, hakaw, and xiao long bao.
