R’Bonney Gabriel arrives in Manila, calls it ‘one of my favorite cities’


Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel is back in Manila!

On TikTok, the Filipino-American beauty queen gave a room tour of her spacious suite in Shangri-La at The Fort in Bonifacio Global City.

“Just touched down in one of my favorite cities, Manila, Philippines," R’Bonney said in the video’s voiceover.

She gave a room tour, showing the city views through her corner suite's windows, and highlighted the complimentary fruits the staff left for her.

“This is my favorite fruit ever, mangoes!” she said.

“Philippine mangoes are the best. You all know that,” she added.

She also gave focus on the "glorious plate" of chocolates and sweets, as well a the thoughtful bouquet of flowers the hotel left in her room.

“I love you, Philippines," she said as she ended her quick virtual tour.

On Instagram Stories, R’Bonney also took a selfie with a pack of ensaymada.

R’Bonney was last in the Philippines for some Miss Universe duties. She also took the opportunity to reunite with her Filipino family, in her dad’s home street in Malate, Manila.

R'Bonney appeared as a special guest for the Miss Universe Philippines coronation night, wearing a stunning Terno by Mark Bumgarner.

Earlier this year, R’Bonney was crowned Miss Universe 2022, becoming the first Filipino-American to win the title.

In the Philippines, Michelle Dee was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 and is set to compete on the international stage in November.
