Philippine telco sets Guinness World Record for Longest Travel Livestream

Guinness World Record longest livestream in the world

The Guinness World Record for the Longest Travel Livestream has been set, and it’s powered by TNT, a subsidiary telecommunications provider of Smart Communications, Inc.

The awarded livestream lasted for over 26 hours, covering 75 km from Bustos, Bulacan to Rizal Park in Manila without interruption.

The said livestream is part of TNT’s Petmaloop Challenge, which called on digital creators to feature highlights of their hometowns that give them joy through TikTok.

A total of 33 creators took on the challenge, which kickstarted in Davao earlier this month and made its way through other key cities and provinces in the Philippines.

“I can now confirm that, with 26 hours, 15 minutes, and 29 seconds, TNT has a new Guinness World Record Title! Congratulations!” Guinness World Records official adjudicator Fumika Fujibuchi declared during the awarding ceremony Wednesday.

The Petmaloop Challenge fulfilled the Guinness World Record’s various criteria, including focusing on real-time travel experiences, emphasizing the significance of sites and cultural locations, ensuring the livestream is accessible to the entire public throughout the entire attempt, and allowing the livestream to take place at multiple venues, provided there are no gaps or interruptions.

Last month, Filipino foam brand Uratex also received a Guinness World Record’s largest human mattress dominoes award.

Congratulations!
