Manila Zoo adjusts operating hours for the holidays
The Manila Zoo announced their temporary operating schedule ahead of the holiday weekend.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the Zoo declared they will remain operation al during the holiday with following schedule adjustments:
- December 24 and December 31: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- December 25 and January 1: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Visits to Manila Zoo can be set online with a fee of P150 for Manila Residents aged 3 and up, and P300 for non-Manila Residents.
Student tickets are priced at P100 for Manila Residents and P200 for non-Manila residents, while individuals working as employees or teachers of Manila LGUs and Manila City Schools can enter the zoo at P100.
Senior Citizens of Manila with Valid OSCA IDs are free to visit every Wednesday, while children aged 2 and below are free and have no need to register.
Visitors will be asked for Valid IDs, and Manila Residents must provide IDs with addresses.
The only public zoo in the City of Manila, the Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden first opened on July 25, 1959.
The Zoo is home to more than 550 specimens of exotic wildlife and more than 10,000 plants. Among its main attractions include an African Lion, a Hebra, a Bengal Tiger, and a male white Siberian Tiger named Kois, donated by Zoocobia in 2021.
