Cebu Pacific offers flexible options for August 18 and 19 flights amid Habagat
Cebu Pacific is offering flexible options for passengers with flights scheduled on August 18 and 19 due to inclement weather caused by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
On Facebook, the budget carrier announced that flights are operating as scheduled. However, due to the current weather conditions, some travelers may prefer to postpone their trips.
With this, passengers with Cebu Pacific flights to and from Manila and Clark scheduled for August 18 and 19 have the option to:
- Rebook their flights free of charge within the applicable travel period.
- Convert the value of their booking to a travel fund for future use.
Meanwhile, those who were unable to catch their flights on August 17 may contact Cebu Pacific's live agents for assistance.
“Passengers who choose to travel as scheduled are encouraged to check their flight status before proceeding to the airport, as weather conditions may still affect flight operations,” Cebu Pacific wrote.
“We ask everyone to extend patience and kindness to fellow passengers and our frontline teams as they work to assist everyone safely through these conditions,” it added.
As of 5 a.m. on Tuesday, a red rainfall warning had been raised over Batangas, Zambales, and Bataan; an orange warning over Cavite and eight other areas; and a yellow warning over Metro Manila and six other areas due to the Habagat.
If you wish to donate a helping hand to communities affected by the Habagat, here is a list of organizations accepting monetary and in-kind donations. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
