GCash services down

GCash, the e-wallet platform operated by G-Xchange Inc. (GXI) and used by more than 90 million users, is currently unavailable as of Wednesday morning.

In an advisory, GCash said it is working to restore services “as soon as possible” and that another update would be given within the next two hours, adding that additional support is available through the GCash Help Center or hotline. No further details were given.

GXI’s parent company Mynt Inc. is set to make its stock market debut next month, with the final initial public offering (IPO) price set to be determined on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

The mobile wallet operator, in an advisory released Wednesday noon, said services were “fully restored” and that the mobile app may be used “as usual.” —KG, GMA News
