GCash parent Mynt sets final IPO price at P6.60 per share
Mynt Inc., the parent company of mobile wallet GCash, announced Friday that it has set the final price for its initial public offering (IPO), which could amount to about P60 billion, in what could be the largest and most anticipated IPO in the Philippine capital market.
This development was disclosed by Globe Telecom, an affiliate of Mynt, in a regulatory filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
“We disclose that Mynt has determined and set the final offer price for its IPO at P6.60 per share in connection with its offer and sale to the public of 8,027,409,600 common shares with an overallotment option of up to 1,204,111,400 secondary common shares,” Globe said.
Mynt has set the official listing of its shares on the PSE on October 20, 2026.
The planned IPO secured the approvals of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the PSE.
Mynt had said its offer would represent 12% to 13.8% of its post-IPO shares and comprise both primary and secondary shares.
Existing shareholders would retain about 88% after the base offer, or about 86.2% if the over-allotment option is fully exercised.
Mynt earlier said its proposed IPO would be more than a test of how investors value one of the country’s largest digital businesses as “it could also provide an indication of whether Philippine investors are ready to support a broader generation of fintech and digital-economy companies seeking long-term capital through the public market.” —AOL, GMA News
