eTelecare's Singapore unit to acquire shares of South African call center


MANILA, Philippines - eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. said its Singapore subsidiary entered into an agreement with UK-based TalkTalk Group Ltd. to acquire all shares of The Phone House, a South African contact center company. eTelecare Global Solutions-Singapore PTE Ltd. will acquire all shares of Cape Town-based The Phone House from TalkTalk Group Ltd. for £3.7 million (P255.3 million), eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). The company also entered into an outsourcing agreement with the two foreign firms, allowing eTelecare to provide contact center services to TalkTalk Group, eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. said, citing its compliance officer Angelita P. Sangalang. Besides providing business process outsourcing (BPO) services, it is also engaged in technical support, customer service, sales, and other services from delivery centers in the Philippines, North America and Latin America. eTelecare Global Solutions shares closed unchanged at P350 during Monday’s trading at the PSE. - GMANews.TV
