IBM Philippines leads for the fifth time as top market server

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine unit of computer giant IBM led the overall server market in the fourth quarter while taking the lead in several key segments, market intelligence provider IDC said in its ASIA/Pacific Quarterly Enterprise Server Tracker last month. IBM Philippines cornered 57.1 percent factory revenue share for the quarter. For the fifth consecutive year since 2004, it topped overall market server market for 2008 with a 44.3 percent factory revenue share. "The past few years, we have shifted our strategy, developed products and services to address the transformational needs of our clients better. We have the infrastructure to drive down cost, platforms that are intelligent, secure and is as dynamic as today’s operating environment," IBM Philippines Country General Manager James Velasquez said in a statement. -GMANews.TV
