Seized Red Bull energy drink products are genuine, firm says

MANILA, Philippines Red Bull Supreme Energy Drinks manufacturer and exporter dispelled doubts on the authenticity of its products following seizure of the popular energy drink in Taytay, Rizal. In a statement, Thailand-based T.C. Pharmaceutical Industries Co., Ltd. said its directors Pavana Langthara and Saravoot Yoovidhya certified the Red Bull Supreme Energy Drink under Lot No. 466I – 034J is genuine and manufactured by the company. The confiscated energy drink will expire on Sept. 2010. "With no less than Red Bull’s manufacturer in Thailand attesting to the genuineness of the seized Red Bull lot, the question on its authenticity raised by Energy Food and Drinks had been laid to waste. Energy Food and Drinks even put out advertisements asking the public not to buy the said Red Bull lot, which turned out to be genuine after all the stir created by the seizure," T.C. Pharmaceutical Industries said. Red Bull is an energy drink that "fights mental and physical fatigue." Last week, the National Bureau of Investigation confiscated Red Bull products bearing the name of Energy Food and Drinks, which was reported to be the exclusive distributor, from the warehouse of Maryland Distributors Inc.
