Cebu Pacific announces new routes from Davao


Leading airline Cebu Pacific Air is now operating direct flights from Davao to Puerta Princesa, Palawan as well as to Kalibo, Aklan. These routes will be available four times a week using the carrier’s new fleet of Airbus A320s.
 
“Providing accessibility across the Philippine islands continue to be one of Cebu Pacific’s top priorities, and is evident in the rest of the new routes we are launching later this year,” vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog said in a Thursday press release.
 
The airline has also put up its sixth hub in Kalibo, which is near tourist-favorite destination Boracay island.
 
“With Kalibo as our 6th hub, (Cebu Air) continues to play its part in upholding the country’s tourism agenda, and making air travel affordable and accessible to even more Filipinos,” Iyog added.
 
The airline operates flights from Kalibo to Manila, Hong Kong, Taipei and Seoul.
 
It is slated to launch the following flights in the second half of the year: October 4 (Cebu-Coron, Tacloban-Legazpi), October 5 (Davao-Butuan, Davao-Dipolog, Tacloban-Iloilo), and October 20 (Cagayan de Oro – Zamboanga), November 8 (Iloilo-Hong Kong, Iloilo-General Santos) and November 9 (Iloilo-Singapore, Iloilo-Puerto Princesa, Cagayan de Oro – Bacolod).
 
Cebu Pacific has ferried 60 million passengers in its 16 years of operations, with 32 domestic and 19 international destinations. — DVM, GMA News
