Globe offers affordable computerized payroll system
Globe Business, a unit of Ayala-controlled Globe Telecom Inc., is now offering PayrollCloud, a computerized payroll system that, it says, would be the first of its kind in Asia. PayrollCloud stores and processes a company’s payroll data on Globe’s network of servers, which means that all a company needs to use it are an office computer and a Globe Business Internet connection. “The usual downside to a computerized payroll is the high cost—but now Globe Business is offering such a system at a much more affordable price, so that even [small and medium-sized enterprises] can afford it,” said Globe Business head Jesus Romero. The system, he added, will comply with the tax payment and tax filing requirements set by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as well as pay remittances required by other agencies such as the Pag-Ibig Fund, the Social Security System (SSS), the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and Philhealth. Romero promises users high-capacity Internet connections and assures them of the network’s security. “Data security is a global concern and that is one area where the Globe telecom network is an expert at—we have a highly secure network that protects all subscribers’ information,” he said. According to Globe Business corporate and SMEs marketing head Manny Escosa, the P3,400-P4,400 PayrollCloud monthly subscription includes 2 Mbps DSL for as many as 25 employees. — BM, GMA News
