LMG Chemicals reopens sulfur plant in Pasig

LMG Chemicals, the country’s largest producer of sulfuric acid, on Monday said it had reopened its Pasig plant after a four-month shutdown. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, LMG manager for legal services Erwin Temprosa said operations resumed January 21. In September, GMANews.TV reported that LMG had temporarily closed operations in its sulfur plant due to over-inventory. LMG is the sole producer of alkyl benzene in the Philippines. Its products are used mainly by detergent manufacturers, car batteries firms and power companies. - Patricia de Leon, GMANews.TV
