Hawaiian Airlines adds Airbus A330 to Manila route for holiday season

To accommodate increased demand during the holiday season, Hawaiian Airlines has added more seats and cargo-carrying capacity for its Manila-Honolulu route with the addition of its largest and newest aircraft, the Airbus A330-200, to the service. The shift to the 294-seat A330 service took effect on Nov. 4 and will last until March 31. The craft adds 30 more seats and 25 percent more cargo capacity to the passenger and cargo capacity of the Boeing 767 that normally plies the route. The features offered by the new wide-body, twin-aisle A330 Airbus include increased legroom and LCD touch-screen monitors offering a wide range of movies, TV programs, music, and video games for every seat. Hawaiian has been providing nonstop service between Manila and Honolulu four times weekly since 2008. Flight HA 455 will depart Honolulu at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, cross the international dateline, and arrive in Manila at 6:55 p.m. the following day.   The return Flight HA 456 will depart Manila at 8:50 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, cross the international dateline, and arrive in Honolulu at 1:05 p.m. the same day. — BM, GMA News
