Far Eastern University board gives FEU Alabang the green light


Far Eastern University Inc. is putting up a new school in southern Metro Manila, to be called FEU Alabang, a non-sectarian learning institution, the company said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange late Thursday.
 
The company said its board of trustees authorized and approved “the formation and establishment of a new educational institution, the FEU Alabang Inc., with an authorized capital stock of P100,000,000, divided into one million shares with the par value of P100.00) per share.
 
Named as incorporators of FEU Alabang were Michael M. Alba, Juan Miguel R. Montinola, Paulino Y. Tan, Angelina P. Jose, and Herminia I. Maliwat, the disclosure read.
 
The Far Eastern University Board of Trustees authorized FEU Alabang “to use the term 'FEU' in its corporate and brand names,” it added.
 
One of the leading universities in the Philippines, Far Eastern University was established and founded by Dr. Nicanor Reyes Sr. in 1928 along Morayta Street in Manila's University Belt, according to its Facebook page. The street was later named Nicanor Reyes Sr. — VS, GMA News
