UPS rolls out 1-3 day express freight service for large shipments

Global package delivery firm UPS now offers a new express air freight service, UPS Worldwide Express Freight, which offers door-to-door delivery of heavyweight freight within one to three business days depending on the destination. An extension of UPS' Worldwide Express package portfolio, the new service allows customers to ship packages 70 kilograms or heavier as easily as smaller packages to 41 destination countries and territories. The service offers “immense” opportunities to “Asian businesses keen to expand their operations beyond their domestic market in US and Europe,” said UPS Asia Pacific president Brendan Canavan. In the Asia Pacific region, the service is available in the Philippines, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. — BM, GMA News
