Leisure & Resorts World to expand bingo operations

Bingo operations of listed gaming firm Leisure & Resorts World Corp. (LRWC) will be expanded in 30 to 40 new sites. The new bingo sites will add to LRWC’s existing 23 as it seeks to tap a wider clientele base. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, LRWC said it remains focused on the roll-out of additional bingo sites with the electronic variants of its bingo games. The company, which sees steady growth in its core business, is installing more electronic bingo games and Rapid bingo machines in its existing bingo sites. While demand for electronic games was strong, the contribution of traditional bingo was still significant at P2 billion in 2011 or 55.3 percent of total revenues. Revenues from electronic games rose 20.8 percent a year earlier to P1.6 billion. — KBK, GMA News
