Nestlé Philippines voluntarily recalls 'Kit Kat' peanut butter product
Nestlé Philippines on Saturday announced a voluntary recall of some varieties of its "Kit Kat" product as a precautionary measure to ensure consumers' safety. In a statement sent to GMA News Online, Nestlé Philippines said: "As a precautionary measure and to ensure the safety of our consumers, Nestle has initiated a global voluntary recall of various varieties of KIT KAT Chunky 48g bars. The affected products are predominantly sold in the UK." Nestlé said that in the Philippines, the voluntary recall only covers a "very small quantity" of "Kit Kat" Chunky Peanut Butter flavor 48g size bar with batch codes 23650457H, 22940457H, and 22950457H. "The concerned products are being recalled after seven consumers in the UK found a piece of plastic in the product. So far, we have not received any similar complaint in the Philippines," it said.
