Emerson Electric signs lease for 12,000 sqm of office space in SM Land building

Manufacturing and technology firm Emerson Electric (Asia) Ltd. has signed a lease contract with SM Land for more than 12,000 square meters of office space in SM Cyber West Avenue, a P1.5-billion development soon to rise along EDSA and West Avenue in Quezon City, the property developer said Tuesday. The 15-storey SM Cyber West Avenue, scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of the year, is offering 42,000 square meters of gross floor area and 22,700 square meters of gross leasable area for office space. The remaining leasable area, mostly on the ground floor and second floor, will be occupied by a Save More supermarket and other commercial establishments. Emerson Electric (Asia) is a unit of U.S.-based Fortune 500 company Emerson, a diversified global company with annual sales in 2012 of $24.4 billion. The commercial property development and management arm of SM Investments Corp., SM Land primarily handles the development and leasing of office buildings in the NAtional Capital Region and in certain regional locations. — BM, GMA News
